- DIGITAL DIAGNOSTIC X-RAYS 100% digital diagnostic x-rays allow for superior imaging, enhancement, reduced radiation, manipulation and adjustments. They can be stored indefinitely, securely shared with any interested party in the world and are processed in about 60 seconds.
- EKG’s We provide bedside EKG services with interpretation. Our machine allows us to store and compare hundreds of exams and is American Cardio-Thorasic Society certified.
- HOLTER MONITORS Our Holter Monitors are about 4 ounces in weight and are about the size of a small cell phone. They are 7 lead, 5 channel reporters that are digital and state of the art. This service is done with a nationally certified technologist super read, so that the interpreting physician or cardiologist gets the best diagnostic information available. These devices can interpret a cardiac event (event monitoring) SVT, etc. All leads are anterior, improving patient compliance and comfort.
- SPIROMETRY Lung volume and assessment exams are performed bedside and a printed (interpreted) report is provided for the patient and their physician. These exams are performed with sterile mouthpieces. This exam can be digitally stored for later or further comparison. Patients who smoke, have diagnosed COPD, asthma, emphysema, bronchitis, or other known pulmonary pathology are candidates for this exam.
- BRONCHIAL ASSESSMENT Bronchial assessment exams are performed bedside. The patient performs a spirometry exam and the information is digitally recorded. The patient then takes their prescribed medications (steroids, inhalers, nebulizer, etc.) for breathing. After 30 minutes they have another spirometry assessment. The pre and post treatment results are digitally compared and an interpretative printed report is provided. This allows the treating physician to assess whether the prescribed treatment, its dose or its frequency is maximally effective for the patient. These exams allow the treating MD to tailor the treatment to the needs of the patient, often resulting in reduced medication, decreased concentration and better results.
- BONE MINERAL DENSITY EXAMS Bone mineral density exams are performed bedside. This is a digital x-ray of the left hand. The x-ray is then interpreted by a proprietary Compumed software package that accurately assesses the bone density and bone age of the patient.
- Post menopausal
- Over 65 (women) and over 69 (men)
- Who have a history of pathological fracture
- Who are on hormone replacement therapy
- Who are Caucasian or Asian
- Who are bed bound or have limited weight bearing mobility
- Who have a known bone mineral deposition disease
- Who are on anti-seizure medications
- Who are on other bone mineral leaching medicines
- BI-PHASIC DOPPLER Bi-phasic Doppler exams are performed by a California licensed physician. They are done bedside and are pain free to the patient. The Doppler exam is done of the femoral, popliteal, dorsalis pedis and posterior tibial arteries or veins. When the exam is completed a copy of the bi-phasic printed results are provided for the patient and the ordering physician. Interpretation is provided. These exams are suggested for an at-risk patient for peripheral vascular disease, venous insufficiency, pre-surgical consult, edema, pain, and others.
- PERIPHERAL NERVE ASSESSMENT Peripheral nerve assessments are performed by a California licensed physician. They are done bedside and are pain free to the patient. The PN assessment is done on the major nerve groups of the lower extremities to assess for neuropathy. They are done with Symmes Weinstein 5.07 monofilament, sharp/dull, vibratory, light touch, DTR, and proproception components. A history is obtained from the patient and any pathologic findings are reported. An interpretation is provided. These exams are suggested for diabetics, alcoholics, trauma victims or anyone who is at risk or demonstrates signs of peripheral neuropathy.
This is compared to DEXA and found to be within 1% accurate to a much more costly and much less safe exam. This exam is recommended for any patient who is:
